I wasn't quite as good this week at getting a picture each day.
Feb 6th-My two kids take these often. Mucinex during the Delsym at night. I can't wait till they are 7 and we can finally figure out what they are allergic to. We do this ritual every spring and fall.
I caught C "washing dishes" for me. It just made me smile.
Feb 7th: Tonight we watched Pollyanna and had a great evening. The kids decided I was cold and needed two blankets. C took the picture. She is getting really good.
Feb 9th: We had a snow day again today. B is getting dressed. "I do it myself!"
He likes to get my cell phone and scream, "Nana you there. I talk-a to you! Nana, ah. she not there."
C and I used the day to finish her Valentine's to her friends.
Feb 10th: Remember that hole in my wall to fix the plumbing. This was my wonderful husbands solution. It is a door from his grandparents home. I just LOVE it!
Feb 11: My kids love to make "Dadda tea." It is one of the things we do that shows Daddy we love him. We make him sun tea.
Feb 12: I am so proud of this girl. She has sold over 200 boxes and we are not finished yet. She is the cutest little daisy.
Feb 14th: When D and I were dating he said that he wanted to do something every year for Valentine's day. His dad always got his mom a stuffed animal. 30+ years later she has all of them. I think it is sweet but I knew that a stuffed animal was not something I would keep. His solution: A charm for my charm bracelet. I love it. This year I got a heart charm that says happy anniversary. We celebrate 10 years next month.
His gift: French onion soup in Panera bread bowls. He has to work every Valentine's Day.
Feb 15: D's parents came to dinner.
I love my new fire pit! We had S'mores. It was a great evening!
Feb 18th: We had the L's for dinner. It was a great evening. Hot dogs, broccoli, and apples. Good food and even better conversations. I am so glad that I took the initiative to invite them over even though the house was a mess and we "only" had hot dogs.
L's had a great time too. He used the spa steps for his table.
Feb 19th: C came home from Pre-K the first week of school and said, "Mommy I am going to marry G." G is a wonderful little boy. But, I do not want my 4 year old saying she is getting married. G is also in her K class. The morning of his birthday party C got this as her fortune in her fortune cookie. "The evening promises romantic interests." Maybe we "shouldn't" go to the party. :) He is a super great kid!
Feb 20th: C has my number. At bedtime she asked is she could have a candle to do her bible study. How can I say no? I caught her w/ a battery operated candle, a notebook with pencil, and a bible. I thought it was super sweet and JUST like me.

Epithet
I have decided what I want mine to say:
Her house and classroom were a disaster, but she sure knew how to live.

Confidence
I am really enjoying Patter crosses challenge here. What a great word! And, how incredible that our confidence is in him and not ourselves. I choose three verses.
Charlie made her own valentines. It was very hard for me. I did not like her smeared stamping but she LOVED them.
D's valentine. And my new stamp. Isn't it cute.
Deuteronomy 31:8
8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Philippians 1:6
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD,
my confidence since my youth.
Psalm 71:5
5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD,
my confidence since my youth.

Project Life--
The more I look at the pictures, the more I can't wait till my birthday. I know what I am going to get myself. I am just in LOVE! I made Dusty look at January. "Wow! I really do love this. I like how we can see just the everyday stuff." I am so glad he likes this as much as I do.
Jan 29th: I know but she looks too cute not to add this one. We went and "pre-sold" girl scout cookies in the neighborhood today. She has sold 93 boxes all by herself. I am just amazed.
Jan 30th: One of our very DEAR friends came over this evening. Brent is an amazing man. I can't believe that he is still single.
Jan 31st: We went to visit Oh' Grandpa before the storm blew in. He was so happy to see the kids. They were pretty excited to see him as well. The kids played with his spider. It drops from the ceiling when you clap or speak loudly.
Feb 1st: Here is the hard part. We had a snow day today. LOTS of picture. Do I post the kids going out in the freezing weather. 6 degrees with a 45 mph north wind of -11?
Or, B He is a very boyly boy. Who else could sport this amazing bruise and wear pink tights w/ hearts all in the name of keeping warm in said freezing weather?
Or, should it be cuddle time. Dusty and Charlie have cuddle time every day before they take a nap. This is very special and needed for both of them since they share the love language of touch.
Or, should it be making snow ice cream. It was a first for the kids and I. Very good but VERY sweet.
Or, me (since I am NEVER in the pictures) eating said yummy snow ice cream.
Or D making homemade ravioli while the kids watch. It was delish! He really is a great dad and husband. This is the only part of "picture a day" that is hard. Sometimes I have too many to choose just one.
Feb 2nd: Happy Ground hog's day!
Love this one too. C is cleaning her room. This is a chore no one likes. She is so like me in that department. She is messy. But, she is SUPER creative.
Feb 3rd: Another snow day. B played in the water in the kitchen. I LOVE how his little tongue sticks out as he works. Yes, said bucket of water did end up all over the kitchen floor and him. But, he had a great life lesson and then had a blast cleaning up the water.
C worked on "homework." She played on the jumpstart website. She loves being big enough to work on the computer by herself.
Feb 3rd: We worked on C's valentines tonight. Peel crayons. Melt crayons for 15 minutes in 275 degree oven. Cool. She is so excited about them. I am too b/c there is NO peanut or sugar in these super cute valentines.
Feb 5th: I am a sucker for things like these. Got the kids the heart plates and the ice cubes. We will probably never use them but they make me smile.
Another multi photo day. We made a snow man. C did most of the work.
And, these photos just make me laugh. Step one: Run across the yard.
Step 2: Say "AHHHHHH" and fall backwards.
Step 3: Laugh, and laugh, and laugh.
Step 4: Get up and do it again.
I LOVE this silly guy! He was only out side for 5 minutes b/c of his cough. But, it was well worth the play time.

Snow day Creations
I have "stalked" Patter Crosses blog for years. I love her scripture stuff but have never participated. Always planned to never have. This year is different. I am going to finish her ABC challenge and will be working my way through her names of God Challenge as well. I am going to do two of each of my names of God layouts and give them away. I can't wait to see who God sends my way to bless with them.
For my Anchor verse I used Jeremiah 29:11-14. This has been a verse that has helped me through more than I thought ever possible.
B was Bible. I used two verses and the song B-I-B-L-E. B sings this song all the time right now at the top of his lungs. He always ends it with "The bible my FAVORITE." It just puts a smile on my face and warms my heart. I used Psalms 119:11 and Joshua 1:7-8.
I haven't yet figured out what I am going to use to display these. My "album" is 6x6. I really do like the way it is turning out. I used my mind's eye paper in both and the butterfly stamp from a Unity kit of the month.

Happy Ground hog's day!
I have this incredible husband. But, he is a little silly. His second favorite holiday is Groundhogs day. Why? I have no idea. This year we were blessed with a snow day. He and C got up at 5:00 to watch Phil. I had so much fun making these for breakfast. You can find them here.
This our picture of the day for today.
And here this silly man is having a conversation with his ground hog about the weather.
The kids took turns talking to their ground hog as well. We were laughing for a good 10 minutes over the weather reports from the silly donut hole ground hogs. I LOVE this man!!!

Project life w/o project life
Jan 29th. A beautiful day! 75 degrees so we played outside all day.
Jan 28th: S'mores for dessert. 3 melting chocolate chips melted in the microwave, a spoon of marshmallow cream and graham crackers. Not as good as camping s'mores but it made two really happy kiddos, a princess and a kitty cat. Can you tell we LOVE to play dress up?
Jan 27th: The kids played outside today. I heard the water come on. When I went out to investigate, this little guy said "I go swimming." He had the water hose and was trying to fill up the swimming pool. He insisted it was okay because he had his swimming trunks on.
Jan 26th: Dusty loves his new flag pole that he got for Christmas. He and the kids raise the flag every morning. He and I take it down every night.
Jan 25th: Dusty and his dad began work on our shower. It has been leaking for months. Now, it does not but B is terrified to get in the new shower b/c it looks different.
Jan 24th: We had Friends for dinner. They have four beautiful children (the youngest is not in the picture). We did not have enough room at our kitchen table for everyone so we opened our French doors and the kids had an indoor picnic on the picnic table while the adults and baby ate at the kitchen table.
Jan 23rd: Charlie wanted to take today's picture. I think she did a great job of taking a "cuddle time" picture before nap. Both of my kids LOVE to cuddle for 5 minutes before they go to sleep. It will be horrible when they get to school and that is not an option but for now. It is the highlight of Dusty's day.
Jan 22nd: We hung rainbow makers in the window before headed to the science museum. B loved the tinkering garage.
Jan 21st: Tonight the kids asked to be "locked" in the closet. 10 minutes of giggling with their flashlights before they realized they couldn't get out of the closet without help.
Was reminded today, a snow day, how much I really do LOVE this couch.
Jan 20th: Dusty and B dancing! This is a daily occurrence. These boys LOVE music!
Jan 19th: My little Sparkie! We love Awanas.
Jan 18th: We had fish tacos for dinner. I love Tuna steak. We get it from the fish market when we go to my mom's. It is SUPER yum!
Jan 17th: We were out of school for a "snow day" since we have not used any this year. We went to the Asian market and got the stuff to make Yakasoba. Dusty did an amazing job it was so delicious!
Jan 16th: After the rodeo today, the kids decided they wanted to go camping and roast marshmallows. We used logs from the fire pit, tissue paper, a battery powered candle, skewer and Marshmallows. They had the BEST time. LOTS of giggles!
This is my favorite picture of the kids and D from the IFR. We had a great day!
But I had to add this one too b/c how often am I in a picture? D took this with his I-phone.
Jan 15th. C made a tent to take her nap in. She tied her jump rope and her lasso together attached it from her bed to her quilt rack. She then stuck her stick horse in her laundry basket to keep the other end up. I am so glad that my kids make "tents" the way D and I use to as kids.
Jan 14th: Another 3 picture day C and B were trying to earn money to put in their piggy banks. C asked if she could sweep for a nickel. She gets paid in nickels. B held the dust pan for pennies. LOVE cheap labor.
B loves to count pennies. "My money in my piggy bank."
B wasn't sleeping well. Dusty came home to find me reading. I haven't been doing very much of that lately. Sure enjoyed my cuddle time with a good book.
Jan 13th: B was quiet proud of himself. He had placed all his cars in his pants leg: Lightening McQueen, Sally, Sarge, 2 cars, a stone fish, and a tractor trailer. Silly guy!
Jan 12th: I took a sick day today. I NEVER call in sick. This is the second time in 7 years that it has happened. I was wiped out. But, while D was at work tonight. B decided to make some Dada tea. He did not realize that you have to keep the tea inside the bag and that you need only one bag of tea. He emptied a brand new box of tea bags on my floor. He then helped my clean it up. It took 20 minutes b/c I was so weak from being sick. Sick Mommy and a 2 year old are NOT a good combination.
