Jan 29th. A beautiful day! 75 degrees so we played outside all day.
Jan 28th: S'mores for dessert. 3 melting chocolate chips melted in the microwave, a spoon of marshmallow cream and graham crackers. Not as good as camping s'mores but it made two really happy kiddos, a princess and a kitty cat. Can you tell we LOVE to play dress up?
Jan 27th: The kids played outside today. I heard the water come on. When I went out to investigate, this little guy said "I go swimming." He had the water hose and was trying to fill up the swimming pool. He insisted it was okay because he had his swimming trunks on.
Jan 26th: Dusty loves his new flag pole that he got for Christmas. He and the kids raise the flag every morning. He and I take it down every night.
Jan 25th: Dusty and his dad began work on our shower. It has been leaking for months. Now, it does not but B is terrified to get in the new shower b/c it looks different.
Jan 24th: We had Friends for dinner. They have four beautiful children (the youngest is not in the picture). We did not have enough room at our kitchen table for everyone so we opened our French doors and the kids had an indoor picnic on the picnic table while the adults and baby ate at the kitchen table.
Jan 23rd: Charlie wanted to take today's picture. I think she did a great job of taking a "cuddle time" picture before nap. Both of my kids LOVE to cuddle for 5 minutes before they go to sleep. It will be horrible when they get to school and that is not an option but for now. It is the highlight of Dusty's day.
Jan 22nd: We hung rainbow makers in the window before headed to the science museum. B loved the tinkering garage.
Jan 21st: Tonight the kids asked to be "locked" in the closet. 10 minutes of giggling with their flashlights before they realized they couldn't get out of the closet without help.
Was reminded today, a snow day, how much I really do LOVE this couch.
Jan 20th: Dusty and B dancing! This is a daily occurrence. These boys LOVE music!
Jan 19th: My little Sparkie! We love Awanas.
Jan 18th: We had fish tacos for dinner. I love Tuna steak. We get it from the fish market when we go to my mom's. It is SUPER yum!
Jan 17th: We were out of school for a "snow day" since we have not used any this year. We went to the Asian market and got the stuff to make Yakasoba. Dusty did an amazing job it was so delicious!
Jan 16th: After the rodeo today, the kids decided they wanted to go camping and roast marshmallows. We used logs from the fire pit, tissue paper, a battery powered candle, skewer and Marshmallows. They had the BEST time. LOTS of giggles!
This is my favorite picture of the kids and D from the IFR. We had a great day!
But I had to add this one too b/c how often am I in a picture? D took this with his I-phone.
Jan 15th. C made a tent to take her nap in. She tied her jump rope and her lasso together attached it from her bed to her quilt rack. She then stuck her stick horse in her laundry basket to keep the other end up. I am so glad that my kids make "tents" the way D and I use to as kids.
Jan 14th: Another 3 picture day C and B were trying to earn money to put in their piggy banks. C asked if she could sweep for a nickel. She gets paid in nickels. B held the dust pan for pennies. LOVE cheap labor.
B loves to count pennies. "My money in my piggy bank."
B wasn't sleeping well. Dusty came home to find me reading. I haven't been doing very much of that lately. Sure enjoyed my cuddle time with a good book.
Jan 13th: B was quiet proud of himself. He had placed all his cars in his pants leg: Lightening McQueen, Sally, Sarge, 2 cars, a stone fish, and a tractor trailer. Silly guy!
Jan 12th: I took a sick day today. I NEVER call in sick. This is the second time in 7 years that it has happened. I was wiped out. But, while D was at work tonight. B decided to make some Dada tea. He did not realize that you have to keep the tea inside the bag and that you need only one bag of tea. He emptied a brand new box of tea bags on my floor. He then helped my clean it up. It took 20 minutes b/c I was so weak from being sick. Sick Mommy and a 2 year old are NOT a good combination.

I have a problem!
(1) My verse notebook for the year. I am a participant in Beth Moore's blog scripture memory challenge with several women from my church.
(2) a notebook for a friend
(3) a necklace for my Etsy store
(4) My first page for an ABC scripture challenge that I am doing with Patter Cross . I have loved her challenges/studies in the past but this is the first one that I am actually going to do start to finish. I have read her posts in the past but I really want to complete this for my table in my kitchen. I still have to add the title. I ran out of chocolate card stock. My title is waiting for my next trip to Hobby Lobby.
And, Here is the thing that just cracks me up about this paper. It is from my FAVORITE paper pack. I think I got this five years ago. I still keep going back to this one package of paper. I LOVE my mind's eye. I think it was called Magnolia.

Jan 1st We went to Grandpa Jindra's for the new year. Charlie sat in his lap for quite a while.
Uncle Steve was there too. He painted Charlie's fingernails.
Jan 2nd:We made pudding for dessert. The kids got to lick the bowl and spatula.
Jan 3rd: The Bruces came over for dinner. We played Dusty's new game Acquire. We talked about parenting too. We are SO excited they are expecting!
Jan 4th: D went hunting. He hasn't got anything this year. He is pretty discouraged.
Jan 6th: D's best friend Chris. This man in an answer to one of my prayers. We are so glad he is in our life.
Jan 7th: The kids talked me into eating in front of the TV. Look at how happy they look. They were watching Homeward Bound.
Jan 8th: B in all his glory. He was so proud of how he was avoiding nap. Mommy, not so much. All his clean clothes are in a nice neat pile while he is hanging from the bars in the closet. I wonder how long he will have that shelf in there.
Jan 8th: Also this day, B ran into the table and bumped his head. He ran to the freezer and got the icing packets from his toaster strudels. "Head hurt. I make it better. " I just couldn't pass this one up.
Jan 9th: The kids like to do their own "Bible study" when I am working on mine.
Jan 9th: D watching the Eagles play football.
Jan 9th: The kids played in a tent all evening using C's strawberry shortcake dolls as ice cream cones.
Jan 10th: It snowed today. It was a good thing Daddy let them play in it because it was gone by 2 pm.
The only snow left from this morning at 5:30 at night.
Jan 11th: This is a nightly ritual. We always read tons of stories.

Christmas
I know, this is crazy. It is the 19th of Jan and I am just now getting around to mentioning my Christmas presents from this year. I got a few "home improvement" items this year. Isn't that just what happens when you become an adult. No more toys for you. We got a new screen door. Beautiful huh! I love that it slams and reminds me of growing up. Okay, I know very silly. D on the other hand loves that it reminds him of Seindfeld.
And then these lovely things. I have wanted a fire pit for years. This year I got one w/ two deck chairs. I can't wait for it to warm up enough to use the lovely thing. The kids are so excited to get to roast marshmallows in our own back yard.

B's baby book
B is 2 1/2 and he did not have a baby book. We look at C's all the time. I was feeling VERY guilty. So, for Christmas I made B and album. It is not finished but it is started. I choose one boy paper pack. 25 sheets of blue card stock and two stamp sets from unity. In 8 hours, this is what I finished. It is not "fancy" but I LOVE it. I still have pictures and pages to do but at least he has this Christmas morning.
This is where I will pick up when I add pages. I made it to 6 mths before the pages in the book were full. I have since bought more page protectors to add to his book. I love how simple and clean his book came out. I also love that it is almost all handwritten. I do not like my handwriting but I love how personal it is.

Dec 31st-Our last "family day" until either a snow day or spring break. I truly treasure these days. Today we decided to make homemade pizza with homemade dough. I love doing this. It is one of those truly "family" fun things that we do.
These next few pictures will be out of order b/c I took the first four days on the camera with no card. I have to get D to transfer them to a card. Jan 4- D went hunting tonight. He got nothing but frustration. I
Jan 6- Today was a rough day at school. I am looking at tailoring the school's anti-bulling program Steps to Respect for my class. Yes, I take my work home. Sorry family!
