trash anyone

See my trash can. Do you notice anything in there that does not belong. Yep, that's right. PLATES.
I have to check my trash can all the time to make sure that nothing got put in there that does not belong.

He loves to throw things away. I think it has something to do with the swinging lid.

feeding brother

Charlie was being incredibly sweet and sharing her icee one day.

This picture here and B's face just crack me up. He is looking over his highchair to see the drink that Charlie is sharing with him. She even did this all on her own.

Dear Jesus,
Please make my teacher Mrs. Reed not have an alligator head like the teacher from the Black Lagoon.

Facebook compliement

I love the ability to keep up with people who are far away/ super busy. I just received the BEST compliment from an old teacher friend of mine. We taught together for four years before he left our school to become a principal. (Which he is super fab at I am sure.) He posted this picture of him in one of those photo opportunity cut outs of a hot dog. It made me laugh and reminded me that his favorite Halloween book was Haloweiner. (Which by the way if you do not know it is well worth looking it up and reading even if you do not have children.) So, I told him so. Here is his post, "Amy Johnson you proved you pay attention to people and take and interest in them." Can I just say that made my day? This is something that I try to do. It really made me feel great to know that someone noticed. Thanks Jay! Oh, and just a reminder: check out this super cool book. I know that you will love it too.

Power of the praying wife

Here are my prayer cards that I did at the meeting. Each card holds verse and the prayer from the end of the chapter.

I had the first seven chapters verses and prayers printed for the ladies. I loved seeing how many different cards were made with the same random stash of paper and embellishments.

They turned out so great and I am BLESSED!

Prayer card meeting

I had this great meeting with friends on Sunday! Several wonderful ladies came over from church. We are making prayer cards using the book "the power of a praying wife." It has been such a blessing for me. God has placed prayer on my heart a lot lately. I feel that all I have done since Thanksgiving this year has been around prayer. Especially when it comes to scrapbooking and yet it has really enhanced my life. I got this idea that since I had prayer cards for my kids to use, and I had prayer cards for me to pray for my kids I needed to make some for Dusty. I had a friend who said that sounded neat so I offered time to work on them at my home. What an extreme blessing! In the last two years I feel that God has slowly been answering a prayer. My prayer has been for a friend. (Those of you reading this that I consider my friends please do not be offended.) I have many friends but not really that one friend that I have had in the past. God has slowly shown me over the last two years that he is not going to provide me with one friend. He is going to give me many. I will not have one exclusive friend that I do everything with (Jessica, Lori & Amy, Jana). Instead I will have many that I will be able to minster to and encourage and in turn receive their encouragement as well. These ladies (and those who were not able to make it) blessed my life with their presences, laughter, and stories. I am blessed and so very thankful!

My Dad's a superhero!

How cute are these two? We spent a little unplanned cash this evening. $10 for these two cute shirts. "MY Dad's a superhero!"
