There are so many times that I ask Dusty to tell me why he loves me or why he married me and it drives him crazy. He hates it! He also hates me it when I want him to tell me about work. Well yesterday he did both without even me asking. I was tell him about some friends who are working away from a divorce. It will be a long road but they are willing to walk it. He told me about a conversation with two of his coworkers. First before the story I have to lay some foundation: My husband is a FLIRT. It has never bothered me because he is very respectful and uplifting in his flirting. If that makes any sense at all. If a girl looks nice he will tell her. That always made me feel good before we were dating. It has never bothered me when he flirts. So back to the story: Dusty told me that he was flirting with the new intern. She got angry and said, "Doesn't that ring mean anything to you?"
"This ring means everything to me."
"Does your wife know you flirt?"
"Yes, and she doesn't mind. She knows that I am going home to her. "
"If my fiancee did that I would leave him."
"Don't you trust him."
"No."
"Then why are you marrying him?"
"I love him."
Dusty then went on his soap box (and I love him for this) "Marriage isn't just about love. It is about trust and commitment. There will be times where you don't like your husband/wife but that doesn't mean that you don't love them."
After their conversation he went out back with another coworker who had been in on the first conversation. The two guys continued the talk...well, Dusty continued to rant at least.
He told his friend (and this is the part that just takes my breath away) "I honestly believe that God put Amy on this earth just for me and I was put here just for her." He told me the rest of the conversation but who was listening. He took my breath away. I want to remember that he told some random person that he works with this little fact. I want to remember that he feels this way because he doesn't always remember to tell me things like this. He tells me he loves me but not always why.

My hubby says stuff like that too. It's almost surreal when guys do that. There's a Clint Black song that we agree with totally - "love isn't someplace that you fall, it's something that you do."
I was hoping you would see the Melissa post!
