Snow compromise

Brantley really wants to play in the snow like his big sister. He has had this horrible cough so I don't wan him outside. So, we compromised. I brought the snow inside to him. The kids water table was left open before the snow and ice hit. I just threw some towels down in the kitchen and let them have fun. Two rules: No snowball fights inside and the snow has to stay on the towel. They have done pretty well.

Homemade dinner

Dusty is, and has always been, the cook in the family. I have never had any interest in it. We watch a lot of food network. This past week on the Worst cooks, Chef Ann had them make home made ravioli. It looked like a lot of fun and very easy. So on our snow day we cooked. Dusty made ravioli while I made cinnamon rolls. We had a wonderful date while the kids napped. I made the sauce. So, what did we make? Deer and Butternut sage squash ravioli and sage cream sauce. YUM!!

gummy bears

Charlie is always talking about playing gummy bears with N at school. I finally figured out that she was talking about teddy bear counters (but not the family bears). So, I surprised her this weekend and brought them home for her to play with. They both loved them! She had to line them up just like she does at school.

Broccoli and cauliflower soup

How do you know if dinner was good? Brantley will be wearing his food and have his bowl on his head.

10 in the bed

Brantley also loves the book 10 in the bed. If you count his stuffed animals you will see 9. Every night he has to put them all in his bed and every morning he throws them out. It's really quite funny.

5 little monkeys game

Brantley loves this book. Nana got the kids the game for Christmas. As you can see he does not follow the rules. But he sure loves to play.
